happy holidays

The last month has been an absolute whirlwind, and that is putting it lightly.  Between traveling for Thanksgiving, finishing the last few weeks of school, and Christmas projects, it has been hard to keep up with all of it... so much so that I have little to no pictures to document much of anything.  Which is fine, because throughout it all, we were {and are} happy in the chaos.

We hope each of you had a very merry Christmas!  It came and went quickly this year and I'm not sure we have our heads screwed back on straight.  Sadee enjoyed everything about opening gifts and being with family, but it was quite the overwhelming experience.  Among all the toys and books she received, her favorite gift was a baby doll and toy stroller that she received from her aunt and uncle.  She has yet to put it down and it has been 4 days since she opened it!  She also received a baby cradle and high chair - this girl of ours is in heaven!  We set the new toys up in her room, next to her toddler bed, placed all of her books in a new basket and found a "parking spot" for the stroller and little shopping cart.  She has been spending at least two hours a day quietly playing in her room with her dolls and books.  My baby is definitely not a baby anymore - just in case there was any doubt.

In planning for baby #2, our Christmas has already been neatly packed away and organizing, rearranging, and minimizing have already taken place.  I think a part of me wants to start the new year ahead of the game, what do you think?  It's hard to believe that 2013 has already passed and 2014 is right around the corner.  Where did the time go??

Here's to a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year!
