Happy Sunday!

We've spent our weekend listening to the most uplifting messages for over 10 hours this weekend and it was glorious! I'm always on the hunt for funs ways to help our kiddos enjoy conference, but never come up with anything. We snuggled a lot. We shhhh'd a lot. We learned a lot. Six months ago in the April General Conference, I decided to share some of my favorite quotes via Instagram. Not only was it fun to design simple little squares, but it was fun to find those meaningful one-liners. It was great to do that again. In fact, it needs to happen throughout the year as I spend time studying those same messages over the coming months.

One of my favorite parts about conference is listening the Mormon Tabernacle Choir. This year was particularly exceptional as I felt all the emotions during every song. One song that stood out was called Take Time to be Holy and it was much less the words, but how it was sung - but it was also the words.

Take time to be holy, speak oft with the Lord;
Abide in Him always, and feed on His word.
Make friends of God's children, help those who are weak,
Forgetting in nothing His blessing to seek.

Take time to be holy, the world rushes on;
Spend much time in secret, with Jesus alone.
By looking to Jesus, like Him thou shalt be;
Thy friends in thy conduct His likeness shall see.

Take time to be holy, let Him be thy Guide;
And run not before Him, whatever betide.
In joy or in sorrow, still follow the Lord,
And, looking to Jesus, still trust in His word.

Take time to be holy, be calm in thy soul,
Each thought and each motive beneath His control.
Thus led by His Spirit to fountains of love,
Thou soon shalt be fitted for service above.

The most beautiful words, right? Spend much time with Jesus. Be calm in thy soul. Each thought and each motive beneath His control. Heaven knows these words speak peace to my heart. There were many gems of light over the last 2 days - parts I heard, parts I missed, all that will be studied and used to grow and learn. I'm grateful for the voice of living prophets to lead, guide and direct us through these times of hate & turmoil. Truly, one of the greatest blessings on earth.

Here's to searching for peace and seeking truth!
